An 0-gauge layout was started two years ago at our previous clubrooms but the track layout was considered too complex and the project was abandoned. Since moving to our new premises work has recommenced to a revised and simplified track plan.
The layout is purely fictional and is an end-to-end configuration with an island platform which will be accessed by stairs down from a road overbridge. It is planned to incorporate an elevated 0-16.5 quarry feeder line at one end to provide operational interest and several sidings have been included to allow shunting of trains.
Currently the layout has been wired temporarily to permit either analogue or DCC locomotives to be run.
