The layout is based on American practice and consists of twin oval tracks with passing loops and storage yard. Low relief scenery is fitted around three sides of the layout and an overhead station, built on the road bridge above the track, provides access down to a single island platform.
Central Station layout
The layout is operated using the club’s DCC (Lenz) system. However, power bus connections are designed so that club members with different systems can connect to the layout and use them if they so wish. The layout usually requires three operators.
A double loop of track is also included which is wired independently for use as either a DC or DCC test track.
