The Tinplate Room was started for those members who are interested in Model Railways as interpreted by the toy industry over the years.

It contains four continuous circuits of track: The outer circuit is of modern Peco O gauge track; the next two have been designed so that they can be used with either the older type of shoe pickups or the more modern type, and can use either the 20v A.C. or 12v D.C. controllers; the inner circuit is for the course scale stock.

When we moved from Bletchley Park, the layout was broken up as it had been designed to fit inside a specific room. A new tinplate layout is now under construction.
